Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The IR team is looking for our next Product Manager to help support the WMTUS function to work alongside our Business partners, Engineering, Data and UX teams to understand, prioritize, design, build and manage traction for a portfolio of dashboards and visualizations.  

About Team: Intelligent Reporting
Our team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. From groceries and entertainment to sporting goods and crafts, Walmart U.S. offers an extensive selection that our customers value, whether they shop online at Walmart.com, through one of our mobile apps, or in-store. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization. The Intelligent Reporting team is responsible for building visualization and reporting enablement solutions for internal Finance teams. We currently maintain 30+ dashboards across all 4 business segments.

What you'll do:

In this role, you will be expected to....

1 - Work with business partners to gather problem statements, user stories and success criteria  

2 - work with Data, Engineers and UX partners to identify level of effort, dependencies and resource constraints

3 - Assess product life cycle, ability to mature products keeping maintenance costs low and business value high. 

4 - Manage on going usage metrics to assess potential friction areas, gather feedback and provide product recommendations that maximize product value.

What you'll bring:

Strong candidates will demonstrate an ability to quickly become emersed in the business problem and hyper-aware of what it takes to spend a day in the life of a business users.

Candidates should have a strong understanding of Finance and the different roles of Finance or have strong Product Management experience in the past and who can demonstrate their ability to sympathize and solve problems.  

Candidates should have a strong working knowledge of data visualizations tools such as PowerBI, Tableau or Looker as well as an understanding for structuring data (multi-dimensional or star-schema relationships).
