Communications Manager, India

The Communications Manager for India will be accountable for developing, driving, and executing the overall communications strategy, including thought leadership initiatives, corporate and product storytelling, media strategy, content creation and agency management across the market. This position will serve as trusted advisor to country leadership and will lead localization of strategic narratives, campaigns and activations aligned to global priorities and local dynamics.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Drive earned, paid, shared, and owned media strategy across India; manage agency, budget and two internal resources.
  • Define and execute integrated communications plan aligned to market priorities, narratives, new product introductions and campaigns.
  • Serve as trusted counsel and partner to local Market leadership.
  • Lead local Market MD thought leadership in partnership with pan-region content lead.
  • Oversee the market communications plan based on global strategy and local priorities.
  • Accountable for strategy, execution and KPIs (reach and engagement).
  • Own and lead local crisis comms and external response.
  • Attend Market Management staff calls to ensure alignment to country plans.
  • Reports to Global Markets Communications Director.

The ideal candidate is a passionate, driven self-starter with excellent writing skills, meticulous attention to detail, outstanding business acumen and the ability to work under pressure in a complex environment supporting various stakeholders.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or Communications (preferred)
  • Self-starter with ability to work effectively in a global remote team
  • Media-savvy with experience across earned, owned, shared, and paid media
  • 10 years of experience, working for a name brand, tech brand or tech PR agency
  • Proven expertise in the art of storytelling
  • Blend of strategic mindset with hands-on communications skills
  • Excellent narrative development, writing and editing skills
  • Exceptional project management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to quickly ramp-up and make an immediate impact
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Superior communications and presentation skills
  • Ability to build relationships with key journalists, influencers, and analysts
  • Experience managing a budget and day-to-day operations
  • Fluency in English
