About Bharat Banking

The increasing income diversification, evolution of the tech stack, various government schemes to improve livelihoods, and integrating the country via roads and the internet have provided strong tailwinds to the rural and semi urban (RUSU) or �Bharat� markets.

 

To better capitalize on the growth runway and �open the world of possibilities� for the Bharat customer, the bank has set up a separate �Bharat Bank� vertical. It is an amalgamation of products and geography, handling certain core products across the country and all the products in the RUSU branches.

 

The objective is to accelerate the growth journey by expanding distribution reach via branches, partnerships, and digital presence, creating tailored products and processes, and using the One Axis strategy to harness synergies in all parts of the Bank to deliver to the Bharat customer.

 

The Bank also continues to focus on growing the book profitably by enhancing productivity, improving operational efficiency to reduce cost, and containing risk by leveraging technology such as AI and ML & rigorous portfolio monitoring

 

Farmer funding team aims to provide timely credit facilities to farmers, meeting all their cultivation, farm maintenance, consumption and investment needs by offering various loan products like KCC (Kisan Credit Card), Kisan Samarth (ODSAM) and ODCON.

About the Role

 

The Regional Portfolio Manager (RPM) is responsible for maintaining the portfolio health and ensuring that the irregularities are at its minimal for his Region & drive business from his mapped Portfolio RM�s, sets the vision for the Region and develops and adheres to a plan to attain this vision. The RPM coordinates with the Zonal, Regional & Area managers & Support Teams viz. Credit, Collection, Operations, Product to ensure that they are able to respond proactively to the portfolio & business issues and challenges by providing them with the required inputs and support.

Key Responsibilities

 

            Deepen the existing relationships by driving Enhancement and cross selling of the Bank's Liability products & Services and third party products.

            Minimize the customer attrition by effective implementation of Customer retention policy and ongoing customer engagement.

            Ensure Customer delight whilst ensuring that the Bank�s delivery standards in achieving total customer satisfaction are met.

            Maintain the portfolio health through timely Renewals, increased churning & utilization limit along with nullification of PDD (Post Disb Document) pendency.

            Drive the Resource Productivity in Business through Disb (B2C & Gold) and also portfolio parameters.

            Ensure regularization of the accounts wherein there are �No Credits�, �Interest not Serviced� and �Accounts overdrawn� and FPD (First Payment Due) recovery.

            Conduct regular and detailed Portfolio & business reviews with Zonal and Regional Heads to ensure that corporate strategies are percolated down to the ground level sales force

            Ensure training, development and management of Field team.

            Manage relations with branch and Circle network in the location

            Actively pursue and close new business opportunities, working closely with Sales Management and Inside Sales Representative to ensure geography-based objectives are being met.

            Evaluate market trends and gather competitive information, identify trends that effect current and future growth of regional business and portfolio management .

         Effectively engage Operations, Credit, Collections & FCU teams to understand and contribute to overall processes and profitability across locations.

         Maintain good working environment and high motivation level at across location

 

Qualifications

Optimal qualification for success on the job is:

         Graduation/ Post Graduation from a recognized institute

  • Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and norms
  • Good communication (both verbal and written) skill in both English and the local language
  • Ability to manage complex client situations
  • Ability to manage risk and uncertainty for self and team within a dynamic priority-setting environment
