Your Impact

The Assistant Marketing Manager of Customer Strategy & Comms Planning, reporting to the Manager of Customer Strategy & Comms Planning, will participate in the development of strategic customer playbooks inclusive of sizing of opportunities. Contribute to highly strategic bodies of work to identify and codify key audience cohorts and journeys. Perform deep analysis on customer segments for strategy team to develop Go-to-Market activation plans around. Responsible for the target audience design (1P/2P/3P), tactical build, and syndication to activation platforms. Continuous optimization to help deliver access, focus and clarity on core audiences to increase marketing efficiency and brand relevance. They will partner with their leader to work across key agency, tech, and analytical partners to develop processes and approaches to drive speed and accuracy to scale.

What You Will Do

  • Identify, size, and prioritize the highest value audience strategies that target specific customer segments during key Home Improvement moments that matter to drive meaningful customer experiences.
  • Build key audience activation playbooks with profiling and audience segment insights.
  • Present annual and quarterly brief-in presentations across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead audience strategy and design with Brand & Customer Marketing teams to guide initiative/campaign communications & tactical development.
  • Leverages business logic, customer data and platforms to unlock and scale the automation of advanced audience strategies and audience architecture design, building and syndication to paid and owned channels.
  • In partnership with measurement and finance teams, share a quarterly readout of measurement, lookback, and process refinement which includes OKR & revenue progress, customer/creative/channel level performance insights to serve as a feedback loop to inform strategic and annual planning with progress against macro-objectives, and test & learn agenda.
  • Work collaboratively on Marketing customer taxonomy maintaining a customer definition repository to instill audience unification to drive stronger connection with the customer, maximize business impact, and performance insights.
  • Support the Marketing governance process for audience creation, activation, and measurement.
  • Translates department specific marketing needs into technology capabilities and data requirements that would drive return on investment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the latest industry developments (changes in privacy laws and regulations, cookiesless, etc.)
  • Provides Marketing leadership (Manager/Director) key updates regarding strategy, progress, and risks.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Merchandising, Marketing or relevant field and 3-5 Years Overall marketing experience
  • 1-2 Years Strong business acumen and experience running a P&L and/or working alongside P&L owners
  • 1-2 Years Leadership experience
  • 1-2 Years Experience writing strategic briefs and working cross-functionally and leading brand marketing or integrated teams
  • 1-2 Years Experience leading brand or category work at a retailer or CPG company
