We are the Picasso team and are looking for a Principal Engineer to join our burgeoning team and develop our Generative AI solutions. NVIDIA has been redefining accelerated computing and powering the engines of artificial intelligence. We are developing a host of solutions including text-to-image, -video and -3D, that are trained using clean data provided by our industry partners and deployed for fast inference. What you will be doing:

  • Study and work on ground breaking image-based Generative AI models. Ensure the best possible performance on current- and next-generation GPU architectures.

  • Architect, design and use your software engineering expertise to optimize, deploy and productize AI models. Develop clean, efficient, well-tested production code.

  • Collaborate closely with Research, Cloud, Architecture and Libraries teams at NVIDIA to deploy inferencing and fine-tuning solutions.

What we need to see:

  • Understanding of modern concepts in Deep Neural Networks, Generative AI and Diffusion Models in particular, ideally backed by meaningful contributions to open-source projects.

  • Working knowledge of Docker Containers, REST API, cloud-based Compute and Storage

  • A Bachelors or Masters Degree in an Engineering or Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience

  • 15+ years of relevant work experience. 5+ years in Machine Learning frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX or Tensorflow, ONNX Runtime, and TensorRT

  • Solid understanding of C++, Python and parallel programming

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to work in a fast-paced and distributed team. History of mentoring junior engineers and interns is a plus.

  • Strong computer science fundamentals - algorithms and data structures, computational complexity, parallel and distributed computing, system software.

The base salary range is 272,000 USD - 419,750 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
