Position Overview:   

Working with and reporting to the VP Human Resources, this temporary position is accountable for assuring all HR issues are addressed and resolved quickly for assigned client groups in the Netherlands.  The HR Business Partner provides HR counsel and problem-resolution support, teaming with assigned clients to build high performing teams through performance management, talent acquisition, employee relations, interpretation/application of employment policies and procedures.  The HR Business Partner will be accountable for executing the items detailed below and for performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the business and market in order to influence effectiveness and provide insight to assigned client leadership.

  • Support HR and business unit driven change initiatives.

  • Partner with global Talent Acquisition team to support the recruiting process for client openings and partner with client leaders to ensure that we recruit and hire the right talent for our needs.

  • Challenge and coach leaders as appropriate to provide trusted counsel and perspective.

  • Facilitate performance management and talent management processes within assigned business unit.

  • Effectively manage employee relations issues.  Lead investigations and conflict resolution or mediation activities.  Seek counsel from legal team as needed.

  • Work with assigned leadership and HR team members to manage voluntary and involuntary employee separations.

  • Partner with HR Operations team on Payroll processing for the Netherlands

  • Additional projects as able: (1) Establish and document key HR procedures for the location. (2) Establish shared office management processes and responsibilities across all functions in location.

  

Basic Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business

  • Minimum of 3 years Human Resources Generalist experience

  • Experience working in international/global corporate Human Resources team

  • Strong knowledge of employment law in the Netherlands

  • Strong initiative and results orientation

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced environment

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Suite & HRIS)

  • Dutch and English written and spoken business language fluency

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience working with HRIS systems such as nmbrs, ADP, Workday

  • Experience in setting up HR Projects from start to completion

  • Creative Mindset
