Responsibilities

The Opportunity

 

This role is responsible for timely and accurate preparation of monthly/quarterly financial statements in accordance with US-GAAP and statutory GAAP, perform monthly closing activities in accordance with PepsiCo reporting rules and deliver base business priorities to sustain effective control environment. The role entails interaction with the business units’ control teams and outsourced delivery teams

 

Your Impact

 

As a Control & Reporting Accountant (GAAP) your responsibilities would consist of:

  • Prepare timely and accurate US GAAP financial statements, Income Statement, Balance Sheet and support monthly HFM submission of Financial Statements for designated business unit or units
  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual Corporate reports to Sector Control Team of designated business units
  • Participation with the short and long term Cash Flow Planning in HFM and preparation of monthly variance analysis and reportings to the sector team
  • Create particular journal requests with appropriate backup documentation
  • Perform product costing and annual standard cost calculation in SAP
  • Perform all cost accrounting activities during month end and annual closing
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for assigned accounts - identify and investigate all variances and ensure that they are resolved timely
  • Prepare variance explanations of Balance Sheet and P&L accounts variance report
  • Coordinate and prepare quarterly Balance Sheet Review incl. Management Summary
  • Support US GAAP and local audit with external auditors and communicate and manage deliverables
  • Preparation of various statistical declarations
  • Ensure timely communication of any issues to Team Lead
  • Maintain financial controls by adhering to policies and procedures; ensure compliance with internal controls and GCS requirements
  • Support and provide input for corporate audits
  • Prepare tax related reportingsg. tax packages, CbCr Reporting, Calculation of deferred taxes
  • Act as back up for retained organization based on prior allignment

Qualifications

Who Are We Looking For?

 

Education

  • University degree with proofen financial technical skills achieved through experience or accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent degree

Experience

  • Work experience 3+ years
  • Fluent in English 
  • Intellectual capacity to link accounting concepts to underlying financial data systems  in order to understand, analyse and interpret actual results and troubleshoot any issues with the data
  • Ability to integrate well within a team environment
  • Action and result oriented, attentive to deadlines
  • Good Knowledge in US-GAAP – German GAAP will be an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project); ability to create complex formulas in Excel
  • Very good experience in SAP (FI & CO & MM)
  • Must be detail-oriented, a quick learner, and self-motivated
  • Exhibit a strong ‘can-do’, ‘will-do’ attitude and strong sense of urgency in meeting deadlines.
  • High level of flexibility and being able to cope with stress
