Sterile Processing Technician 1, UHS Wilson Medical Center

 

United Health Services is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician 1 to join our WMC Sterile Processing department at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. This position is benefits eligible.

Salary range:

$16.35 - $21.49 per hour, depending on experience.

Overview

Under general direction to decontaminate, assemble, package, and sterilize procedural instrumentation and patient medical devices. Maintain, document, and distribute clean and sterile products per established infection control standards. Provide for and account for med/surgical supplies to clinical areas. Our customers are identified as physicians, clinical units, ancillary areas, clinics and UHS affiliates.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

• Previous SPD or Operating Room experience
• Inventory experience

License/Certification

Minimum Required:

• Certification as a Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician is required within 18 months of hire.
• Valid NYS Driver's License
