Position Summary...

Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training; mentoring; assigning duties; providing recognition; and ensuring diversity awareness. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy; and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.

What you'll do...

Role: Finance - Reporting & Analysis

Skillset: Power BI, SQL with finance domain

Location: Chennai

Team and Position Summary:

  • This position is part of the FP&A Reporting and Analytics COE and will be based out of Walmart Global Tech Chennai office. This team primarily provides reporting and analytics support to WMT HQ Finance Team and drive continuous improvement/enhancements to the digital reporting suite.

What you will do:

  • Exciting opportunity to be part of growing Reporting & Analytics team and help to build truly scalable products and applications for forecasting, budgeting, and planning processes 
  • Responsible for standard run of transformed reports and enhancements 
  • Define business requirements and recommend solutions to the business in the form of user stories and other document artifacts. Stewards key documentation needed to sustain the reports 
  • Data source identification and management using SQL and other data sources
  • Development of dashboards using data visualisation tools, preferably Power BI. For live reports that are stabilized – assumes ‘Product Owner’ role 
  • Participate in global and regional information management meetings to align on priorities, development design and improvements
  • Provides analytical capabilities once capacity arises​ 
  • Ensures report used in ‘normal course of business’​
  • Subject Matter Advisor (SMA) of segment/function and supports the Pod Leads with simple analytics requests
  • Monitor generation of reports, tests for consistency & quality, analyses outputs and adds L1 commentary
  • Good coordination skills working with cross-functional teams and multiple projects .
  • Exuberant and committed individual having passion towards analytics and interest in bringing transformation to the reporting ecosystem
  • Must be open to work in a fast-paced, multi-functional and cross-cultural environment
  • High learning agility with strong communication, great analytical & inter-personal skills
  • Eagerness to understand business and contribute effectively towards decision support
  • Ability to storyboard key financial data & metrics through Power BI dashboards
  • ‘Out of box’ thinking abilities to offer creative and sustainable solutions

What you will bring:

  • CA / CPA / MBA or equivalent qualification.
  • Finance professional having 5-10 years of experience in FP&A reporting with robust understanding of FP&A tools
  • Minimum 4-6 years of post-qualification experience in FP&A processes 
  • Experience of working with Fin-Tech and product teams in matrix environment 
  • Proficiency in Power BI development architecture
  • Ability to cut through ambiguity and navigate in a complex business landscape  

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience working with/for Product teams globally
  • Advanced knowledge of Agile product development methods
  • Knowledge of JIRA & Confluence will prove to be an asset
