The Role of Director, IT New Openings:

We currently have an opportunity for a Director, IT New Openings EMEA, to join our Four Seasons Corporate team in Dubai!

This role reports to the Vice President, IT New Openings as the Senior IT project leader you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of technology services and delivery to developers and property operations teams during the design, implementation, and handover phases across a portfolio of projects. 

The Director is the Four Seasons technology leader and representative building and maintaining successful relationships with developers, property leadership teams, designers, vendors/contractors, and corporate departments. The property leader oversees all technical design reviews and approvals for all drawings and specifications.

The Director will typically oversee between 8 to 12 active projects each requiring a customized and dynamic approach to meet the local and regional needs of the project.  This includes residential, hotels, resorts, urban, resort, expansion, and renovation types of projects. 

Our Ideal Director, IT New Openings candidate will have:

University degree in technology or engineering with over seven years’ experience managing IT projects in areas such as technology construction / technology management – all with a focus on hospitality, residential and large mixed-use facilities.

The project leader is a skilled communicator, expert negotiator and exceptionally organized with a proven track record in procurement, design & construction, and project management.  The Director understands complex technical problems and orchestrates people and processes towards achievable and logical solutions.

The project leader is a successful and motivational people leader. As the ambassador of Four Seasons across many New Openings, the Director mentors, manages and supervises multiple local property teams throughout their unique and customized pre-opening journey.  The Director has a deep understanding of Four Seasons technology and is a champion as to how it is to be enabled to ensure successful Four Seasons service delivery.  The Director takes a proactive role in identifying risks.

The Director has technical expertise and construction experience in areas such as active and passive cabling, security & surveillance systems, audio-visual systems, wired and wireless communications, networking, Wi-Fi and software.  They also have direct responsibility for Department initiatives such as Design Standards, vendor and product analysis and process improvements. Frequent travel of varying durations (up to 40%)
