The role of the Guest Services Coordinator

Is responsible for helping to plan, organize and controlling the work of employees in the Guest Services Department while ensuring guest satisfaction. This position provides an enjoyable experience conforming to Four Seasons standards of excellence for quality, professionalism and friendliness.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for organizing the day"s operation based on the day's departures and arrivals, as well as the flow of people in the lobby.
  • Organizes bellhop and doorman schedules and ensures that all operations are carried out in a timely manner so as not to affect the guest experience.
  • Supports the operation of the bellman and porter areas when necessary. Responsible for organizing meal schedules.
  • Ensures that the department has the necessary equipment for the job and is in charge of making requisitions when necessary with prior authorization from the Guest Service Manager.
  • Provides guests with instructions, recommendations and information about the area, as well as activities and attractions.
  • Orders cabs as needed.
  • Loads luggage into car for departing guests.
  • Handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; Resolves guest complaints, assists guests with all inquiries regarding hotel services, hours of operation, key hotel personnel, internal events, etc.
  • Greets all guests passing through the front door and offers assistance in case is needed
  • Provides a high level of cleanliness in the hotel driveway and entrance.
  • Assists with responsibilities and duties in absence or heavy volume in front of house areas.

Education:

High school education or equivalent experience in Guest Experience

Experience:

  • Two (2) to Three (3) years’ experience in service related to Front Office operation
  • Previous experience in Luxury Hospitality

Skills and Abilities:

  • Requires knowledge of the ability to operate Opera
  • Ability to read and speak and write English and Spanish
  • Understand and familiar with quality standards and service standards of the hotel
  • Highest level of integrity and transparency
  • Apply an ethical approach to the outcome of situations
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Reasonable problem-solving, decision-making and conflict resolution skills
  • Work in a safe, prudent and organized manner
