What you'll do...

Position: Software Engineer III 

 

Job Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086 

 

Duties: Develop and maintain the Sam’s Club Node.js orchestration layer to create APIs according to specifications, ensuring compatibility with React/Redux Web Front End and Native Mobile Apps for iOS and Android. Assist with infrastructure for Node.js Servers, enhancing scalability and automation through the creation of tools for failover, restart, monitoring, and other essential functions. Design and implement features for Sam's Club desktop web and app platforms. Create and implement automation test cases for comprehensive end-to-end testing of the entire application. Identify and resolve errors in deployed features, providing comprehensive solutions to prevent future issues. Regularly examine application logs, activity, and performance data to proactively address any potential stability concerns and implement appropriate solutions. Provide technical support during playbook events on the website, actively monitoring performance to ensure optimal functioning. Provide stakeholders with regular updates on progress, highlighting any issues, risks, and key dependencies involved in the project. Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years of experience in software engineering or a related area. 

 

Skills required: Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs on Node.js server using JavaScript, Node.js and JSON. Experience writing unit test cases using test utilities including Jest and Sinon.js for Behavior Driven Development. Experience monitoring performance dashboards including Grafana and Dynatrace. Experience analyzing Azure log data to document API performance for stakeholders. Experience monitoring Looper CI and troubleshooting any issues in a deployment pipeline using Npm and Yarn. Experience debugging API calling errors using Splunk monitor platform. Experience building and maintaining an automated testing pipeline using Jenkins, Jest, and Mocha for end-to-end testing. Experience debugging live deployment issues using Kubernetes Container orchestration. Experience monitoring the codebase for any security concerns and logging rule violations by managing key values configuration in Azure Vault. Experience testing and troubleshooting network request issues with Postman and WireShark. Experience leveraging JIRA, Kanban, and Confluence for Agile project management. Experience leveraging GitHub for managing code versions. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills. 

 

Salary Range: $117,000/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.   Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
