Network Integration Senior Engineer - KUALA LUMPUR

SUMMARY

The Ribbon Professional Services Delivery department covers installation, commissioning, configuration, integration, acceptance testing & migration activities. Engineers work in a dynamic customer facing environment, either remotely or at customer locations in Asia, Australasia and on international assignments. This position involves working across the portfolio of products to deliver customer solutions with a focus on network and service integration. The role requires strong investigation and proactive problem-solving skills to drive solutions through to system validation and customer acceptance.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Completion of projects as per the defined Statement of Work and within budget.
• Support & delivery of Network Implementation Services to drive Customer Acceptance of deployed hardware, software & functionality.
• Delivery of quality services to meet customer requirements.
• Ribbon Software installation, commissioning and execution of test plans.
• Creation and execution of action plans, workarounds & MOPs for custom activities in collaboration with Global internal design and support teams.
• Effective Technical Report writing for both internal and external organisations.
• Proven communication skills increasing Customer trust and personal consideration.
• Relationship building & interaction across internal & external organisations.
• Collaboration with Sales engineer on technical discussion/proposal to the Customer
• Collaboration with customer and Ribbon support teams in driving issue resolution
• Effectively adaptable and flexible to an ever changing & evolving environment.
• May be required to work outside of normal business hours.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Excellent verbal and written English with strong communications skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications or related discipline.
• At least 10 years work experience in a Telecommunication technical role.
• Strong knowledge of the Unified Communications industry environment
• Strong knowledge of Ribbon products including C20, C3, G9, Application Servers, SBC, PSX, RAMP.
• Knowledge of VoIP, IP and SIP protocols, Wireshark, tcpdump.
• Knowledge of Openstack, VMWare/KVM and Public cloud GCP, AWS, Azure.
• Knowledge of Linux Operating Systems and LAN/WAN Networking skills.
• Knowledge of Security aspects desirable.
• An ability to take a time critical project or task from inception to completion.
• Strong problem analysis, organisational and time management skills.
• An ability to work either independently or as part of a team.
