Civil Design Engineer (Wet Utilities)

Abu Dhabi, UAE

What You’ll Be Doing  

  • Prepare concept, preliminary and detailed designs together with Tender and Contract documents.

  • Coordinate with Client and third parties, engineering calculations, plans, design, and layout, project specifications

  • Perform design/analyses calculations related to wet utilities such as irrigation, potable water, sewer, stormwater, subsurface drainage networks using governing engineering formulas, skills, and experience.

  • General Arrangements, Layouts, plans & profiles.

  • Research and prepare design options and documents  

  • Review shop drawings.

  • Extracts engineering information from CAD drawings.

  • Prepares engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs

  • Reviews supplier drawing submittals and performs technical bid analyses.

  • Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.

  • Provides technical guidance to CAD Designers, Drafters, and lower level Engineers working on the same project.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related subject from Major University.

  • Minimum 6 years graduate/postgraduate experience of infrastructure engineering design particularly water and wastewater networks with progressively increasing responsibility.

  • Previous experience of building network models using SewerGems, WaterGems, InfoSWMM and similar hydraulic design software.

  • Previous experience in ArcGIS (ESRI) is preferable.

  • Extensive and knowledgeable computer skills Civil 3D.

  • Ability to implement Quality Management System on projects effectively.

  • Good spoken and written English is essential.
