Description -

Job Summary

This role is initially responsible for utilizing advanced technical expertise to support digital presses in critical technology areas or customer groups, resolving complex incidents, and collaborating on cross-technology issues. Over the medium term, this position will evolve into a Materials Specialist role, acting as the focal point for LATAM, providing technical support and troubleshooting for all substrates and materials used in the end to end digital process, including papers, films, primers, etc. and through all the finishing process. The role involves direct interaction with our channel partners, ensuring effective communication and problem resolution. The specialist will work closely with internal teams and customers to ensure optimal performance of substrates during and after the printing process.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize advanced technical knowledge to operate and support digital presses in critical technology areas.

  • Resolve incidents involving single or cross-technology independently and collaborate with team members to address unusually complex issues.

  • Apply the organization’s solutions to address highly complex customer requirements and design specialized support solutions.

  • Identify additional services with potential for future service revenue growth and offer technical consultation during contract renewal discussions.

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships up to senior management levels in assigned accounts.

  • Resolve problems promptly and appropriately, escalating issues according to established procedures, and lead customer expectation management during escalations.

  • Collaborate extensively with internal groups to resolve client issues and actively contribute to the team's effectiveness.

  • Interpret internal/external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services.

  • Lead moderate to high complexity projects, delivering professionally written reports, and support the realization of operational and strategic plans.

  • Transition to the role of Materials Specialist, serving as the focal point for LATAM in substrate-related matters, including testing, evaluating, and optimizing new substrates and finishes for digital presses.

  • Provide training and support to customers and internal teams on proper use and handling of various substrates and finishes.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with material suppliers to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality substrates.

Education & Experience Recommended:

  • Four-Five years or Graduate Degree in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, or related disciplines.

  • Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably with HP INDIGO presses, field and remote technical support, and technical experience in materials and graphic arts.
