Senior Camera Engineer – Hybrid Solutions (Poly)

Description -

Job Summary:

The Senior End to End Camera Engineer is a critical role within the HP Hybrid Solutions (Poly) team. Working with a global design team, this position drives execution on all aspects of the camera design of new Videoconferencing&Webcam products over multiple projects with outsourced development partners. Central to the success of this role is the ability to drive execution at ODM vendors and interface with a multinational team to solve complex technical issues. This individual should have experience driving aggressive schedules, reviewing complex camera designs including providing technical guidance, working with vendors to resolve complex mechanical problems using data-driven decision-making, and experience in delivering mass-produced hardware.

 

Responsibilities:  

•    Lead multiple project teams of other engineers and internal and outsourced development partners responsible for all stages of video/camera design and development for complex products, solutions, and platforms, including validation, tooling and testing.
•    Manage and expand relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on video/cameras, electrical hardware design and relevant software development.
•    Review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with technology and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality.

•    Co-work with camera architectures to involving planning phase.
•    Provide domain-specific expertise and overall video/camera, electrical/electronic hardware and platform leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.
•    Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the electrical hardware design organization.
•    Provide guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.

 

Education and Experience Required:  

•    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
•    Typically 10+ years experience or more than 5 years experiences in camera design

 

Knowledge and Skills:  

•    Using electrical design tools and software packages for video/camera design
•    Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
•    Experience in overall architecture of video/camera, electronic hardware for products and solutions.
•    Designing and integrating video/camera electronic components, integrated circuitry, and algorithms into overall architecture.
•    Evaluating and proposing forms of empirical analysis, modeling and testing methodologies to validate component, circuit, and hardware designs and thermal/emissions management.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
•    Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at senior management levels.
