Quality & Program Manager

Description -

Job scope/summary:

The Quality & Program Manager applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. Exercises independent judgement within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution. Ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.

 

Job specifics/responsibilities:

  • Manages and leads a program involving one or more functions and project teams to promote quality culture and drive the quality of improvement process for a subsystem or component of a product or service offering.
  • Develops schedules, critical deliverables, budget, resource allocation plan, and other support requirements for assigned program.
  • Coordinates activities of supporting project teams and internal and external partners; tracks progress against established plan and makes decisions to alter or update schedule and resource allocation to meet product requirements and development schedule.
  • Communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to stakeholders; collaborates with management and internal development, manufacturing, and service delivery partners to implement changes to product, process, or program plan to resolve escalated issues, produce solutions, and ensure adherence to budgets and established product roadmaps and schedules.
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.
  • Executes compliance assessment & quality assurance activities (FDA audits, IT audits, ISO audits, supplier audits)

 

Key deliverables/accountabilities:

  • Maintenance of the Novartis dedicated Quality Management System (QMS Handbook + specific templates).
  • Maintenance of the different Document repositories (Access control, maintenance of user list, naming conventions)
  • Maintenance of the Global and Local Operational Manuals
  • Training of Personnel including documentation of Training records and maintaining master training plan
  • Exception and Deviation handling (all need to be documented and approved)
  • Changed management -> controlling that all changes are approved and tracked according to process and that electronic signatures are correctly applied.
  • Provision of Life Cycle Documentation to Novartis in case of local or vendor audits (as per QMS -> SSOW, CPA, TCS, CRs)
  • Safekeeping of all Acceptance documentation (TCS, Safe Com acceptance)
  • Documentation of Local quality plans and reports for each SSOW
  • Non-Disclosure Agreement documentation, collection of approvals and tracking for Password handover to customer

  • With other CS stakeholders, project managers, IC and Mgt.
  • WW CS teams
  • Channel Sales

External

  • Suppliers, Channel Partners

 

 

Education (degree) and professional experience required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Quality Management, Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences or equivalent
  • Project Management Certification such as PMP/PMI
  • Lean Six Sigma or other Quality certification preferred
  • Typically 4-6 years of relevant experience

 

Other requirements:

  • Fluent English
  • Other languages knowledge would be an asset  

 

Personal skills and qualities:

  • Using project planning tools and software packages to create, manage, and track project results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating and directing matrixed teams and resources.
  • Ability to create and manage program schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at management levels
  • A strong track record in Project/Program Management gained through significant proven experience of managing international IT transformation

 

 

Technical skills (procedures and documents the employee has to be acquainted with):

  • MS Office
