In this team we work with internal stakeholders, helping different organizations sell more effectively through our data-driven solutions. For this, we need to collaborate with fellow data scientists, data engineers, sometimes project managers and interact with different organizations.
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will need to use statistics, critical thinking to structure problems and be creative to find smart down-to-earth solutions considering the business we are helping. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to mentor some colleagues.
Responsibilities
• Delivers predictive and prescriptive models of high complexity to surface insights; drives action, defines success measures and tracks performance of models.
• Strategizes models to uncover patterns and predictions creating business value and innovation.
• Manages relationships with business partners to evaluate and foster data driven innovation, provides domain-specific expertise in cross-organization projects/initiatives.
• Ties insights into effective visualizations communicating business value and innovation potential.
• Works with development teams and business units to ensure models are scalable and can be implemented as part of the delivered solution.
• Leads project team(s) of data science professionals, assuring insights are communicated regularly and effectively, reviewing designs, models and data compliance.
• Evaluates initiative performance through experimentation.
• Represents the data science team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects.
• Provides guidance, training and mentoring to less experienced staff members.
Requirements:
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in Data Analytics, Statistical Modeling, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Python (preferred or R); Databricks working knowledge is a plus.
• Very strong statistical knowledge, as well as machine learning.
• Understanding of how to manage disparate unstructured and structured data in a distributed environment.
• Fluent in structured and unstructured data and modern data transformation methodologies.
• Ability to create models to pull valuable insights from data.
• Ability to use creativity to spot trends and tease out patterns in large datasets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
