Finance Strategy & Enablement (S&E) is a global team within the Finance Corporate Function. The team shapes our Finance Strategy supporting each Finance Function Lead to develop a functional transformation roadmap and to prioritize the programs that deliver that transformation. Strategy & Enablement ensures that day-to-day activities across Finance are supported by robust and compliant processes, user centered solutions and application support fundamental to the overall success and transformation of Finance. It also leads a broad range of key programs and change journeys, drives improvements in technology performance and reimagines our processes with the application of new technology in collaboration with CIO.

Finance Strategy & Enablement (S&E) manage an ever-expanding portfolio of projects annually (approximately 70+ projects per year). This volume of change requires careful navigation for both our impacted internal Finance teams and the broader Accenture business.

This role is for a Finance Initiatives Associate Manager who will report to Finance S&E Leadership. The individual in this role will be required to manage a portfolio of finance projects for both the business and internal finance teams. We are looking for individuals that are both experienced finance practitioners and have delivery and program management expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Effective project management - Create work plans which define scope, resources, milestones, quality, risk, deliverables, and acceptance criteria in agreement with the customer
• Oversee/support the execution of delivery work across teams
• Review project deliverables for completeness and quality, and compliance with established project standards
• Ensure all project deliverables in scope are completed and signed-off.
• Identify, raise, and mitigate project risks.
• Ensure project close-out activities are completed.
• Provide accurate and useful project or issues status reports
• Ensure goals for teams are being met and manage group commitments
• Work with team to enhance business and technical knowledge  

Required Skills

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex activities across multiple streams of work
• Ability to drive delivery and outcomes
• Strong business and financial acumen
• Effective leadership presence – ability to build strong rapport with Finance and Accenture leadership
• Experience in Project Management & Delivery, with successful Innovation Projects Delivered / Deployed
• Strong Business Analysis Skills- Ability to be flexible and agile, able to set clear priorities and follow through in the face of ambiguity
• Highly effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Strong people skills – building credibility and buy in for the change needed – both at leadership and at team level
• Ability to connect, collaborate and coach effectively with others in a multi-cultural, multi-location team environment, from junior to most senior levels of Accenture

Qualifications and Experience:  

• Degree / Professional qualification.
• Preferably qualified/part qualified accountant. (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent)
• Proven track record in driving global initiatives or 5+ years of experience in Finance service / delivery
