We are seeking a Scientist to join Q² Solutions, IQVIA’s laboratory business in Durham, NC.

As a Scientist, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of complex testing procedures to obtain data from clinical specimens and assisting in the supervision of daily operations. You will provide technical insight for equipment/platform selection and technical transfer of assays and act as the primary point of contact for daily technical and logistical inquiries from the team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Performing and documenting testing in accordance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
• Scheduling in assigned area.
• Inventory oversight and ensuring adequate supplies for testing.
• Onboarding and lab training, systems training of junior level staff.
• Proactively planning for resourcing and reagent needs.
• Assisting with monitoring of compliance and quality incidents to ensure resolution.
• Assisting team Manager with new initiatives and coordination of team delivery.
• Identifying, implementing, and communicating process improvements.

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor’s Degree or other equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1 year of experience in a regulated laboratory environment.
• ELISA required.
• Working knowledge of any applicable regulatory standards within area of responsibility, such as Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
• Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed for this role:

• Proficiency with general lab techniques.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control procedures and practices including standard precautions and hazardous chemical handling.
• Strong technical knowledge of complex testing procedures and science supporting analysis.
• Proficiency with complex laboratory calculations regarding batches and specimens.
• ELISA

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $55,500.00 - $92,500.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
