Finance Planning Inventory Driven Cost Specialist

Description -

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) professional with a strong focus on Inventory Driven Cost. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and forecasting related to inventory costs, which are crucial for our financial health and strategic decision-making.

What a Finance Planning Inventory Driven Cost Specialist does at HP: 

  • Develop, maintain, and improve financial models to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting of inventory costs.
  • Analyze variances between actuals, budget, and forecasts, and provide insights to management.
  • Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to inventory costs.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to inventory costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and validate financial assumptions.
  • Provide strategic recommendations based on analysis to drive cost efficiency and profitability.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to inventory cost management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs.
  • Work closely with operations, supply chain, and procurement teams to address and mitigate financial impacts.
  • Utilize advanced financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, data visualization tools) to enhance analysis and reporting capabilities.
  • Leverage digital technologies to streamline financial processes and improve data accuracy.

Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in financial management, internal audit, accounting, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and digital tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement.
