Overview

FS CoE expert (process authority, sanitation authority, microbiology) define and govern PepsiCo food safety and quality requirements enabling the manufacture of safe, stable and legal products for APAC, especially with B&C integration, and post the Danville incident, there’s bug needs for strengthening the governance and execution round PA/SA/Microbiology work, huge workload added. Eventually to ensure PepsiCo delivers food safety innovation and legacy products regarding food safety and quality.


Responsibilities

  • Food Safety leadership on the principles of PA/SA/Micro: killing process, FS programs such as PEM, PSIP, sanitation, hygienic design, micro specification, preservation strategy
  • Food Safety leadership on trouble shooting, emergency/crisis handling and management
  • Provides insights through microbiological research studies and method development to ensure design safety
  • Subject matter expertise driving flawless innovation and in support of product stability and stability issue resolution
  • Subject matter expertise in area of microbiological risk assessments, preservation strategy, methodology, protocols and representation with regulatory authorities as needed
  • People Capability Build programs across our global organization
  • Clean and sanitation principles and applications
  • Insights from horizon scanning that identify emerging industry trends and new technologies, chemistries and processes
  • Collaborate with global functional teams to drive Winning with Purpose and our Faster, Stronger, Better agendas related to sanitation and thermal processing / preservation strategies

Qualifications

  • MS in Microbiology, Food Science, Food Technology, Biology, Food Process Engineer or other related technical field. PhD highly desirable
  • Minimum 10 years of food safety or quality experience in Operations, Quality or R&D
  • Having experience on FS/Quality on meat, nuts & seeds, pastry, and other foods category
  • SME in Food Safety, Sanitation, Thermal Processing / Alternative PreservationMicrobiology, Pathogen Environmental Monitoring, Hygienic design and zoning,  cGMPs, AIBI and other auditing schemes; familiar with aseptic line validations
  • Proactively drive agendas to meet business timelines; successfully handle adverse circumstances.
  • Achieve quality results consistently despite obstacles.  Monitors progress against goals, identifies issues and takes corrective action early.
  • Skilled/with great capability on case summary and reporting
  • Team oriented person with skills that effectively bring people and issues to decisive resolution.  Ability to develop positive working relationships with manufacturing personnel and gain commitment from others to accomplish work.
  • Great communication skill. Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Coachable
