Overview

Drive the development and implementation of the agile Food Safety & Quality compliance strategies for Foods & Beverage category: ensure compliance of the PepsiCo Food Safety & Quality Policies, FS & Quality standards and local regulation requirements while leveraging risk-based approach to protect agility of the successful business model

Collaborate with Sector FSQA compliance, FS COE and Sector & BU QC teams to identify FSQA compliance gaps and develop mitigation plan; Drive the customization and implementation of FSQA programs for APAC sector with risk based approach

Lead and drive Food Safety & Quality capability build, GMP improvements in APAC to ensure sustainable sector FS&Quality talent development, focusing on Be & Cheery

Deliver Food Safety & Quality SME function supports of M&A FSQA program set up, compliance verification and facility trouble shooting and incident management

Strengthen FSQA culture and awareness to continue improve FSQA culture across APAC sector

Responsibilities

Lead APAC sector Food safety programs deployment and compliance agenda by setting up strategic plan through data and insights tools to mitigate emerging and potential food safety risks
Collaborate with Sector FSQA compliance, FS COE and Sector & BU QC teams to identify APAC sector compliance gap and develop mitigation plan; Drive the customization and implementation of FSQA programs for Be & Cheery acquisition with risk based approach
Lead and drive food safety capability build agenda in APAC sector through systematic training program set up, best practice sharing and lesson learned
Act as food safety program SME supporting relevant facilities on FSQA program set up, compliance verification, trouble shooting and incident management
Provide leadership in building Food Safety and Quality culture across Be & Cheery sites by leading the planning and execution of World Food Safety month and World Quality month, in close collaboration with sector FSQA programs and Sector QC teams

Qualifications

Qualified to minimum Bachelor Degree in Food Science, Food engineering, Microbiology or a related discipline
>8 years of experience in the food industry in food safety, quality, FS auditing or related roles
In-depth technical knowledge and experience of food/Beverage manufacturing, an understanding of food industry FS&quality management systems together with FS and regulatory compliance, and ability to deliver feasible solutions to mitigate risk
Strong integrity, enabling reasoned quality and food safety advice to be given without being pressured by other influences
Ability to balance business needs with food safety and compliance expectations, and guide business leaders with insights
Ability to self-manage resource with leadership and management experience and personal accountability for results
Confident in communication across a range of stakeholder groups - both internal & external
In-depth knowledge and experience of regulatory compliance in China.
Able to set a clear, future focussed direction, taking into consideration internal and external best-practice
Flexibity for working time. Ability to travel 50% or more
Fluency in both Chinese and English, spoken and written, highly preferred
In-depth experience in FS auditing (AIBI/GFSI) is highly preferred
