Job Summary

The QA Lead Engineer is responsible for defining test strategies and planning and executing tests of mobile solutions. The role monitors testing progress, analyses results, and makes informed decisions based on testing outcomes. The lead engineer ensures the delivery of software that meets user expectations and industry standards by collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for representing the QA team in various Technical / non-technical forums.
• Responsible for developing and designing the overall end-to-end test scenarios and scope.
• Design test scripts and test data and execute test cases for complex technical and business solutions.
• Collaborate with product teams to strategize and align long-term solutions for test automation, including a roadmap, tools, framework, and approach.
• Ability to define test scope by analyzing and reviewing system specifications.
• Collaborate with QA engineers and development team to build test cases.
• Execute test cases and analyze test results.
• Find bugs early in the product development lifecycle and report issues.
• Document and communicate the results of the test cases to the stakeholders.

Qualification, Competencies and Skills:

Bachelor's or Master’s in computer science with 10+ years of experience. Proven track record in software test life cycle and familiarity with different SW test frameworks, SW architecture, test design techniques, and test execution methodologies.

Required Technical Skills/Knowledge

• Experience in Mobile App Testing - Android and IOS.
• Possess good exposure to Functional, Integration, Installation, Upgrade, Compatibility, GUI, Smoke, Accessibility, Ad hoc, and Regression testing.
• Experience in testing APIs using Postman.
• Should have used tools like Xcode and Android Studio.
• Experience working on CI/CD tools like Jenkins is required.
• Work experience in Cross Browser testing and environment.
• Work experience in cloud-based testing tools like Browser Stack 
• Performance testing and benchmarking.
• Familiarity with Agile development.
• Experience with automation tools like Selenium and Appium and any programming language like Java or Python is a plus.
• Knowledge of capturing and diagnosing server logs.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis abilities.
• Experience defining and executing non-functional test cases. 
• Extensive experience in Test Management – such as JIRA and ALM
• Hands-on experience in UI and API-level test automation expertise
• Expertise in cross-platform testing framework and running automated tests at scale with real devices.
• Expertise in Mobile Lab Setup with real mobile devices, Simulators and Emulators
• Expertise and hands-on experience in iOS and Android testing Frameworks
• Hands-on experience in mobile application automation.
