As a Network Services Technician, your role is important in providing technical skill and support of the company’s Data, Voice, Security, and Wireless networks. In a typical day, you'll work as part of a network operations center to maximize stability, availability, and functionality of the production environment as well as provide inbound support for network related issues. You'll also assist in supporting routine moves, adds, and changes within the company’s network.
What You'll Do:
Support Data, Voice, Security, and Wireless networking systems globally in a Network Operations Center
Troubleshoot, isolate, and diagnose network problems, either alone or as part of the team
Monitor and respond to all applicable alarms in a timely manner and act as a central communications center for all telecom issues
Support inbound requests from the helpdesk and end users
Responsible for carrier and supplier escalations ensuring prompt incident resolution
Coordinate field service technicians to respond to and restore services
Coordinate with suppliers and internal resources, assist in communications and/or status updates to branch sites with network issues
Ensure all activities are properly documented and tracked through a ticketing system
Maintain network related data; update network information in IT’s database of sites, including providing on time written reports/status to IT management
Participate in rotating on-call schedule
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Associate’s degree or comparable work experience
1 year or more of Network Operations experience
Cisco networking and voice experience
Understanding of WAN, LAN, Voice, and networking systems
Understanding of a broad variety of telecommunications technologies
Advanced organizational skills, ability to successfully manage multiple tasks/incidents simultaneously
CCNA / CCNA Collaboration preferred
Experience with Velo Cloud SDWan and/or Cisco TAC preferred
ITIL incident Management Certification preferred
Proficient documentation and written skills
