The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Seamstress/Tailor, an exciting opportunity to be part of Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Nashville!
The Seamstress/Tailor is an integral part of the Laundry Team, and is responsible for ensuring the proper fit, marking, altering, repair, and pressing of garments. You are responsible for maintaining the company’s high standards of customer service and workmanship. A great eye for detail, a high sense of quality and integrity, and a passion for great service will make a successful candidate.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
Ensures that the look and fit of Employee Uniforms meet exacting standards.
Repairs textiles throughout the hotel as needed.
Ensuring the proper fit of garments.
Answering employee questions regarding alterations, fit, repair, cleaning, or care.
Sewing needed alterations within the alteration schedule provided to guests.
Pressing garments.
Repair garments when appropriate.
Ensure that all equipment such as sewing machines, pressers, and steamers are well-maintained and kept in working order.
Communicate employee requests to management.
Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job, including, but not limited to, sewing machines, pressing, and ironing equipment, etc.
Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
At least one to two years of experience as a seamstress or tailor
Have a high level of attention to detail.
Ability to understand and working knowledge of English.
Must be flexible with schedule - Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evening/overnight shifts
