What are we looking for and what can you bring to the table?

An integral member of the Spa, the Lead Massage Therapist position performs massages and body treatments according to established Four Seasons protocols, maintaining inventories, creating POs, scheduling and conducting trainings, scheduling employees and ensuring that all treatment rooms are properly equipped and that all standards/protocols are being performed to standard. The Lead Massage Therapist also complies with Four Seasons core and culture standards and holds current qualifications and licenses.  This position ensures a positive spa experience for all team members and guest

We are looking for individuals who have a solid knowledge of various treatment protocols and lead therapist/supervisory experience as well as having current qualifications and licenses, currently registered and in good standing with the New Mexico Massage Therapy Board of Licensing, Registration and Renewal. This position is physical by nature and requires candidates to meet all of the essential functions of this position. Fluency in reading, writing and spoken English is required. This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays. All candidates will have a warm and welcome smile and a positive attitude.

What will my responsibilities be?

• You must hold a valid massage therapist license in New Mexico
• You must have practiced massage therapy for a minimum of two (2) years during the three (3) years preceding the application for massage therapy instructor registration.
• You must have CEU Credit Courses must be submitted and approved by the NCBTMB
• Lead Therapist/Supervisory  Experience within spa environment (3-5  years)
• Thorough knowledge of massage and body treatment products and ingredients
• Knowledge of computer operating systems
• Spa Industry Knowledge
• Knowledge of the luxury hospitality industry

• Oversees all aspects of the Massage and Body Treatment Offerings offered at The Spa.
• Responsible for thorough knowledge of all offered Massages & Body Treatments.
• Knowledge of retail products associated with each Massages & Body Treatments.
• Development and writing of treatment protocols for Massage & Body Treatment Experiences.
• Ensure all service standards are performed by the Massage Therapist Team
• Maintenance of treatment room standard set-up
• Training all Massage Therapist on treatment offerings
• Promote Continuing Education (CEU’s) for staff/Licensed CEU Instructors Require the following:
• Evaluation of Massage Therapist to ensure quality control
• Vast knowledge of spa industry massage and treatment product trends and ingredients
• Ability to coach and motivate team to achieve results
• Creation of incentive programs for top performing staff
• Understanding of spa goals (financial and service-related)
• Knowledge of room utilization percentages
• Knowledge of appropriate scheduling to meet demand
• Liaise with Management team to approve time off / vacation requests
• Conduct monthly staff meeting with Director of Spa and Spa Supervisor
• Conduct ongoing product training to increase retail sales percentages
• Recommend new services/treatments as appropriate
• The ability to utilize the spa software
• The ability to keep your work area neat, clean and quiet at all times.
• The ability to utilize each of the rooms and provide information to guests about the services offered in the Spa as well as the Hotel.                       
• The ability to utilize each of the treatment products safety and accurately.
• The ability to provide professional massage for any client including body scrubs and wraps, aromatherapy and treatment enhancements.  
• The ability to respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
• The ability to perform others tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
• All other duties as assigned by management
