The Digital Graphic Designer will serve as a brand ambassador, creating digital assets for websites, animations, digital/paid advertising, emails, social media, and interactive displays, along with some print collateral projects. All work will support OhioHealth's visual brand guidelines and mission.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, time management skills, and conceptual thinking. They must also manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet strict deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Please note: while this position is remote, applicants should be a resident of Central Ohio in order to attend a mandatory monthly MarComm department meeting held at the OhioHealth Blom Administrative Campus (3430 OhioHealth Pkwy, Columbus, OH 43202).

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (Required)

Field of Study: Graphic Design, Visual Communications or related
Years of experience: 3-5

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

  • Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field.
  • Three to five years of full-time digital graphic design experience in a corporate or agency setting.
  • Expertise in front-end user interface design using Adobe Creative Cloud products (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop). Adobe After Effects/motion graphics is a plus.
  • Proficient in CSS, HTML, and content management systems (Squarespace, WordPress). Experience with Optimizely CMS (formerly Episerver) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Figma and/or Sketch is desired but not required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Experience with brand standards, guidelines, and master brand systems. Proven ability to manage relationships with associates, stakeholders, IT teams, and external agencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Digital responsibilities (80%)  

  • Manage individual workload as assigned by the Digital Creative Operations team to meet daily deadlines.
  • Handle day-to-day digital design requests, ranging from quick-turn projects to larger conceptual campaigns. Understand and apply design principles for digital applications.
  • Collaborate with the digital team to address complex digital requests.
  • Make visual updates to existing pages accurately and efficiently.
  • Support the Director and Sr. Digital Graphic Designer in maintaining visual identity and branding standards.
  • Participate in project kick-off meetings and brainstorm sessions as needed.
  • Help build and maintain organization systems to efficiently share brand assets.
  • Stay updated on emergent design trends, technologies, and techniques.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor.
  • Attend weekly stand-ups.

Print responsibilities (20%)  

  • Manage individual workload as assigned by the Print Creative Operations team to meet daily deadlines.
  • Support design requests for external and internal print collateral.
  • Understand design and printing applications.
  • Collaborate with Creative Operations and Marketing partners to understand project requests.
  • Attend weekly stand-ups and design huddles.
