Seniorr Director, Altra Global Product

This role oversees the Product Design, Innovation, Development and Merchandising team for Performance Footwear and Apparel. As a member of the Global Altra leadership team, you will lead our product vision and long-range roadmap elevating the Altra point of difference, creative vision and visual brand language, delivering industry leading performance products for our consumer.

How You Will Make a Difference:

• Drives a global product vision and long range plan through industry leading design and innovation anchored in Altra’s brand DNA and Creative Vision.  Leads the creation of market relevant product proposition to maximize market share.

• Works with Brand/Marketing leaders to deliver on our creative vision and strategy which creates a cohesive global performance product range that will also halo to lifestyle and everyday usage occasions for the Americas, EMEA and APAC markets.

• Is accountable for delivering an innovation pipeline including margin accretive product building blocks.

• Oversees the successful and timely execution of product calendars and milestones in accordance to product development calendar aligned to our go to market (GTM) strategy.

• Partners with functional leaders in sales and marketing to be the voice of product and drive alignment.

• Leads the highest caliber global product organization through talent acquisition and development of performance running expertise in design, innovation, management and development. Builds the right skill set in the central global product engine as well as in the regional and local product merch teams.

• Creates an innovation focused culture, capable of working cross-functionally and ensuring the product vision is reflected and executed in the marketing and distribution strategies.

• Partners with the VF Sourcing Offices in pursuit of delivering high quality and cost optimized innovation on time and with excellence.

Skills for Success:

• Multi-category and multi-region product engine leadership experience

• Consumer obsessed mindset and focus: understands consumer permission paths and how to open up the brand to new consumers through brand authenticity

• Proven and demonstrated strategic and creative leadership skills

• Track record in delivering winning product innovation in performance running

• Connected in the performance running, outdoor and athletic/activewear space

• Ability to work in a globally scaled, regionally relevant environment

• Solid financial analysis and management skills; proven ability to achieve accelerated growth and profitability goals.

• Strong collaborator and communicator. Team player with functional peers in the global leadership team.

• Entrepreneurial and challenger mindset.  Ability to be scrappy and go fast.

Educational/Position Requirements:

• BA in Design or Business recommended; or 15+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Requirements:

• Agility and flexibility to work in an international context across regions and associated timezones, at times requiring meeting attendance early mornings or evenings.

• International Travel is required

Hiring Range:

$196,128.00 USD - $245,160.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.

Long-Term Incentive Potential: This position is eligible to participate in a Long-Term Incentive Plan. Specific details of the plan will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
