Data Architect

Description -

Job Overview: Highly skilled professional responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data infrastructure and solutions to support data-driven decision-making within an organization, possessing deep expertise in data modelling, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data warehousing, and data pipeline development. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, architect data solutions, and optimize data workflows to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Architecture and Design: Design and implement robust, scalable data architectures and solutions to support business needs and analytical requirements. Develop data models, schemas, and structures for efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis of data. Evaluate and recommend appropriate database technologies, tools, and platforms based on project requirements and constraints. Data Integration and ETL: Design and develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses or data lakes. Implement data integration solutions to ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability of data across systems and platforms. Optimize ETL workflows for performance, scalability, and efficiency, minimizing processing times and resource utilization. Data Pipeline Development: Build and maintain data pipelines to automate the flow of data between systems, applications, and services. Implement real-time or batch processing pipelines to ingest, process, and analyze streaming or historical data. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure reliability, fault tolerance, and data consistency. Data Quality and Governance: Establish data quality standards, policies, and procedures to ensure the integrity and reliability of data assets. Implement data governance frameworks to manage data assets, metadata, and lineage throughout the data lifecycle. Develop and enforce data quality controls, validation rules, and data cleansing processes to maintain data accuracy and consistency. Performance Optimization, Scalability: Identify performance bottlenecks and optimization opportunities within data infrastructure and pipelines. Tune database configurations, query performance, and indexing strategies to improve data processing and retrieval times. Scale data infrastructure and architecture to handle increasing volumes of data and user concurrency. Cost Optimization: Optimize compute resources and processing workflows to minimize computational costs while meeting performance objectives. Design and implement efficient data storage solutions to minimize storage costs without sacrificing performance or reliability. Develop cost optimization strategies and recommendations based on usage patterns, workload requirements, and budget constraints.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in data engineering, database development, or related roles.
  • Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, and data modeling concepts.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Experience with data warehousing technologies (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery) and ETL tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend, Informatica).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 9-10 years of experience in data engineering or related fields.
  • Demonstrated track record of designing and implementing scalable data solutions.
  • Experience working with large-scale data infrastructure and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Strong understanding of data management best practices, data governance, and compliance requirements.
