Content Engineer is responsible for supporting the Content Engineering, Juice, and Vubiquity Operations environments. Candidate will be responsible for learning and supporting complex workflows with tight turnaround times. Assist in the development and support of transcoding workflow automation. Establish and maintain CODEC profiles for transcoding platforms that include Elemental, Vantage, and Dalet iCR. Responsible for developing automated analysis profiles using Baton. Able to determine cause of client rejections and offer solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
•    Operate efficiently while developing professional expertise in a fast-paced agile environment where operational priorities change quickly. 
•    Designs, creates, and documents transcoding workflows using enterprise level transcoding solutions for production deployment and facilitates workflow initial and ongoing training for Operational Departments 
•    Troubleshoot a variety of technical and operational issues while applying company policies and procedures 
•    Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of multiple content processing platforms and their integration into operational workflows
•    Maintain media encoding, transcoding platforms, and analysis platforms, to ensure the highest accuracy, stability, performance, and quality
•    Establish and maintain operational capacity metrics for all media processing platforms to include encoding, transcoding, editing and analysis
•    Interact with development, product management, business analyst, enterprise architecture, QA, and support teams throughout the product development lifecycle and continue in an ongoing operational product support role supporting all aspect of media processing
•    Stay up to date with CODEC specifications, media compression platforms, media analysis platforms and software technologies
•    Research new concepts, methods, and technologies relevant to media processing and distribution architectures 
Additional Responsibilities: 
•    Maintain Content Engineering issue and work order ticketing system 
•    Provide weekly Content Engineering work and capacity reporting 
•    Participate in internal and external business calls and meetings 
•    Research new concepts, methods, and technologies relevant to our solutions 

QUALIFICATIONS: 
•    Education: BS degree in Content/Media Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience 
•    Knowledge of enterprise level transcoding platforms such as Dalet iCR, Elemental, and Vantage 
•    Knowledge of Analysis platforms such as Baton 
•    3+ years of experience with video/audio CODEC’s such as MPEG-2/MPEG-4, h.264/h.265, ProRes, J2K/IMF
•    Studio, MSO, Broadcast programming exposure with expertise in VOD or LIVE/Linear 
•    Experience with open-source media libraries such as ffmpeg
•    Familiar scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, BASH, and Java 
•    Experience with Linux, Window, and macOS Operating Systems
•    Experience with agile engineering and development life cycle, from collecting requirements, communicating requirements via user stories, design, documentation, deployment and training 
•    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
