We are hiring a Sales Engineering Leader role focused on driving growth within the North Asia & ANZ territory.  This position requires strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of both client needs and Ribbon’s business objectives. The ideal candidate will excel in identifying business drivers, developing growth strategies, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to execute these strategies effectively.

As the Sales Engineering Manager (SEM), you will lead a technical team supporting strategic accounts within the specified region. Responsibilities include driving sales growth, ensuring technical excellence, and fostering team development. This role involves both operational and creative aspects, requiring proficiency in idea generation and cross-functional execution. Our goal is to innovate in delivering IP, Telco-Cloud, Optical Transport, Software Defined Networks, and automation solutions to meet the demands of today's business landscape.

Key responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills and initiative.
  • Handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Lead regional technical teams to support GTM success.
  • Stay informed about market trends and transitions.
  • Understand data network systems architecture and its business implications.
  • Experience with collaborative business strategies.
  • Foster career growth for team members.

Skills and qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in the networking industry, with expertise in Packet-Optical, IMS, VOIP, and automation.
  • Fundamentals in designing IP/MPLS solutions.
  • Fundamentals with DWDM and ROADM solutions.
  • Prior experience leading technical projects and teams.
  • Familiarity with pre-sales engineering processes and sales stages.
  • Understanding of enterprise networking and buyer personas.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage technical work streams effectively.
