The Finance & Control department in Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is a part of the Global Finance organization and is responsible for the full accounting and financial reporting cycle for Circle K European operations. Senior Specialist, Financial Solutions Europe

The person filling this position will be trained to be an expert in our consolidation system and will have a detailed understanding of month-end close planning processes. As one of the global teams consisting of 4 administrators for our Longview consolidation system, (2 administrators in Europe) this person will have responsibility for a wide variety of system maintenance/development tasks as well as user support.

Main responsibilities:

• Manage daily operation of the consolidation system’s database – maintain master data and hierarchies, including data integration to Circle K’s ERP system (JD Edwards)

• Develop consolidation system to meet new corporate needs and/or accounting standards

• Establish and document new users/access and update current users in consolidation system by best practices/GDPR

• Assist FP&A team in managing budgeting and forecasting cycles

• Support consolidation system’s users in Europe on issues which can be both technical and accounting/business-related

• Develop tools for Business Units/financial managers/controllers

• Provide training courses, support and end-user documentation to European users

• Coach existing and new users to provide them with the basis for further developing their skills

• Trouble-shoot issues identified by users or corporate group

• Participate in global and European projects which impact the consolidation system

 Qualifications:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting/ business administration

• Minimum 3 years’ experience from accounting/finance

• Good understanding of corporate accounting/consolidation

• Previous experience working with consolidation systems and/or ERP system is an advantage

• Understanding of corporate business processes including fundamental financial concepts

• Good analytical and technical skills

• Skilled in Microsoft Excel

• Good oral and written communication skills in English
