Account Payable Accountant is responsible for processing invoices and issuing payments in Oracle by complying with Entrust Accounting Policy, Japanese and U.S GAAP, and Japanese tax code. This function includes several related tasks.

Job description:

• AP daily tasks and duties (50%)

  • Reviewing and processing invoices in Oracle and Bill One

  • Confirming intercompany balances with counterparts and processing payments

  • Entering data into Oracle as necessary

  • Preparing and reviewing wire-transfer

  • Registering and updating suppliers in Oracle

  • Auditing employees expense reports and processing for reimbursement

• Fixed Assets and Inventory (20%)

  • Maintaining Fixed Assets ledger and taking Fixed Assets inventory

  • Monitoring Inventory balance and preparing journal entry as necessary

  • Property tax declaration

• Closing (20%)

  • Confirming if all necessary data entered into AP or not and closing AP module

  • Preparing journal to be posted into GL

  • Reconciliation with GL (trial balance)

  • Analyzing Operating expenses, Inventory and Fixed Assets

  • Reporting to Parent company

• Others (10%)

  • Responding to External/internal Audit

  • Performing various tasks/duties instructed by supervisor as necessary

Essential skills knowledge:

• 3-5 years AP and Fixed Assets or 1-3 years GL experience

• Problem identifying and resolving skills

• Multitasking and requirements prioritization capabilities

• Verbal and written communication skills in Japanese

• Written communication skill in English

• OA skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Knowledge of Japanese Invoice system and Electronic Books Maintenance-Act

Preferred Qualifications:

• Verbal communication skill in English

• Knowledge and experience of Oracle EBS, Kyriba, Bill One, e-tax
