Job description

Ribbon Communications is recruiting for a technical project manager to join the Program Management team. The role involves coordinating projects in a software development environment, from launch to delivery, covering planning, requirements, development, testing, and deployment readiness. You will collaborate with the project stakeholders, Product Line Managers, and the development teams to ensure that the projects satisfy the quality, resourcing, and timeline requirements. You will track and report on the projects’ status, risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop appropriate mitigation and contingency plans. Ribbon Communications has a diverse product portfolio across multiple layers, from platform to applications. This position will initially involve managing projects within our IP and Optical Networking group, with the opportunity to expand to other products in the future.

Responsibilities

• Manage the technical scope, schedule, resources of the projects, and ensure alignment with the project objectives and expectations.
• Responsible for the release lifecycle from roadmap initiation, scoping and planning until delivery and deployment, including major and maintenance releases.
• Follow the AGILE project management methodology and principles to manage and track the project deliverables.
• Work with the development and product teams to define and manage the project plans, deliverables and timeline as part of the release lifecycle process.
• Communicate effectively with the project stakeholders, and provide regular updates on the project status, milestones, deliverables, and issues.
• Track the projects progress, identify and mitigate risks, collect and analyze data, control timeline and resource allocation for a smooth project execution.
• Conduct retrospective sessions, and document and share the project outcomes, feedback, and recommendations.

Requirements

• B.E in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering
• Minimum of 7-10 years of working experience in a software development environment and good understanding of the SDLC
• Experience and strong knowledge and skills in project management tools, techniques, and frameworks, such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse and remote teams.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD is a plus
• Experience with Project Management methodologies using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence etc) is a plus
