Position Overview: Entrust is looking for a Chemical Engineering Co-Op student or Intern to join our team in Shakopee, MN at our Corporate headquarters.

  • Join Entrust as an Intern in our Materials Research and Development Engineering Group
  • Gain hands-on experience in industry
  • Four-month internship with a possible extension

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct experiments and analyze data
  • Conduct card durability testing
  • Test printing materials and protective layers to qualify them for use in central issuance and desktop printing equipment
  • Write technical reports and communicate project status updates to team and relevant business leaders
  • Work with MRD Group to validate product functionality

Basic Qualifications:

  • Pursuing bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent technical degree.
  • Experience or interest in working with mechanical systems
  • Experience working with chemicals and dealing with aspects of chemical safety
  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent technical degree
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experienced working with polymers, materials, adhesives, and printing processes
