Pre-weight blend/mix ingredients into compounds by performing the following duties in Pre-Weigh area.

*Additional $1.50 per hour shift differential for hours worked between 6PM-6AM.
*Must be flexible for overtime and weekend work.

  • Accurately label finished product container, remove from blending room and store in an appropriate manner.
  • Ability to assist in root cause analysis when deviations, consumer complaints or out of specifications situations arise   
  • Keep Lead and Team Lead informed about problems, potential issues and status of work in progress, including any supply shortages.
  • Prepare samples for QA testing and analysis
  • Assist in training new employees when needed.
  • Document production attributes relevant for batch requirements
  • Must be familiar with RF handheld applications to execute logistic movements and material inquiries
  • Enter batch confirmation into SAP to confirm the delivery of goods
  • Keep work area safe, sanitary and orderly.
  • Keep work area organized and cleaned : 5S( Sort- Straighten – Sanitize- Standardize- Sustain)
  • Support Run Right Program initiatives
  • Make suggestions to improve processes, procedures
  • Take initiatives to reduce waste
  • Other tasks as assigned

Safety:

  • Follow appropriate safety procedures and good manufacturing practices at all times.
  • Use proper PPE,
  • Follow documented Lock Out Tag Out, Fall protection, Bloodborne Pathogens procedures- complete/maintain required training
  • Operate a powered industrial vehicle safely, maintain certification

Experience:

  • Six months in a similar working environment required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers. 
  • Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. 
  • Basic understanding of electrical disconnects and machine controls.
