Equipment Staging Technician and RMA Administrator

Job Description

•    Provide high-quality technical staging of Ribbon’s Apollo and Neptune product lines.
•    Initial configuration of optical DWDM, Layer-2, Layer-3, and IP/MPLS equipment.
•    Interface with Tier 2 support teams when necessary to resolve hardware and software problems during staging process.
•    Perform software and patch installations during staging process.
•    Validate hardware integrity during staging process.
•    Manage Return Material Authorizations (RMA) for IPO customer base.

•    Manage pool stock equipment used for RMA process.

•    Track RMA material to ensure timely shipping and receiving of affected equipment based on customers maintenance contract guidelines.

•    Work with warehouse team to prepare equipment for shipping.


Requirements

•    Hands-on experience with the configuration and operation of telecom equipment in a staging environment.

•    Must be physically able to lift and temporarily install hardware in staging racks.
•    Knowledge of basic optical DWDM technology as well as basic IP data functionality.

•    Knowledge of connecting power to equipment shelves for proper operation.
•    Excellent written communication skills, problem-solving, project planning, and time management skills.
•    Experience with operation of PC and the use of Word, Excel and Visio applications.
•    Must be a US citizen or currently authorized to work in the US.
