The Tax Associate will report to the Indirect Tax Manager and will be responsible for sales and use tax reporting and related accounting. The Tax Associate will also oversee business license and secretary of state filings and related projects. The position requires independent work and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- File and prepare sales and use tax returns
- Respond to government notifications
- File miscellaneous local tax returns and business license renewals
- Support third party with annual report information gathering
- Research state registration requirements and oversee registration compliance
- Assist with tax credit memo requests in Oracle
- Assist with tax issues with sales, customer service, credit/collections, and customers
- Involvement in special projects as they arise
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of Sales and Use Tax experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US
Preferred Qualifications:
- Computer skills with Vertex Returns and Oracle
- Experience with sales tax on software and services
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of business licenses and Secretary of State registrations
- Experience with tax research (CCH, BNA)
- Strong communications skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of organization
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Masters of Tax
- Highly organized
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to establish priorities of work assignments
- Self-starter with ability to manage deadlines
- A healthy sense of urgency
Compensation Range:
The pay range for this position is 65,000 - 95,000 Pay ranges will vary and will be set in the applicable currency. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. Please speak with the recruiter for more details.
