Location - Continental US

Ribbon’s Sales organization and the IPO Line of Business is looking for a Senior Account Management Professional to join our US based Sales Organization.

Reporting to the head of US Major Service Providers the professional will utilize their IP Networking knowledge and work closely with Architecture, Sales Engineering and Portfolio Management teams to grow the business in the region. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Development of the IP transport business in target accounts in line with the regional strategic plan. This includes working with key customer stakeholders to gain an understanding of the customer’s business objective(s), provide consultant design/business case on network transformation solutions, and drive customer technical engagement, all with the goal of creating the winning customer value proposition.
  • Orchestrate and work with sales engineering and product team to create winning commercial offers, including owning responses to RFI and RFP, working with Product Line management (PLM) to validate required roadmap, building business case with profitability and cash flow, and negotiating opportunities to closure.
  • Help to define, align and execute against sales strategy and Go to Market (GTM) for leading service provider customers.
  • Take care of the overall sales cycle for opportunities, this is: identify underlying opportunity, qualify opportunity, gather internal approvals, supports proposal synthesis process, deliver proposal to customer, follow-up on proposal and win/loss analysis.
  • Keep CRM consistently updated and Ribbon executives will informed of sales timelines.

This position offers a unique opportunity to build business while contributing to the strategy, innovation and evolution of our IP transport solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Appropriate degree in Business or Engineering with MBA or equivalent a plus
  • 8+ years of experience in networking / telecommunications IP solution sales
  • Understanding of MPLS and IP forwarding and VPN services, including:
    • IPv4 and IPv6 protocols
    • MPLS protocols
    • Layer 2 services
    • Segment Routing
  • Knowledge in mobile transport solutions and 5G would be an advantage
  • Key industry and customer VP and above relationships – especially with top US Service Providers
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills
  • Strong presentation skills - oral and written
  • Willing to travel up to 50% as the business dictates
  • Team player
