Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Security Systems Specialist to join our Security and Loss Prevention team to ensure the robustness and effectiveness of our security systems. As a Security Systems Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing our CCTV enterprise, supporting security equipment projects, maintaining strong partnerships with security service providers, and leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as machine learning cameras and analytics. Your work and recommendations will play a pivotal role in loss prevention strategies and security solutions across North America, thus contributing to the overall safety and security of our stores.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the operation and maintenance of our CCTV enterprise system, ensuring its seamless functionality, accuracy, and reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the planning, implementation, and execution of security equipment projects, including installation, upgrades, and configuration adjustments
  • Engage closely with security partners to establish and maintain high-quality expectations, adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and continuous improvement in security services delivery
  • Provide remote maintenance and support for machine learning-enabled cameras, ensuring optimal performance and swift issue resolution
  • Monitor and assess the performance of security systems, identifying areas for improvement, optimization, and functionality enhancement
  • Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting for security system incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations
  • Proactively recommend loss prevention and security services, solutions, and technologies to enhance the overall security posture of the retail environment
  • Analyze security system data, generate insightful reports, and present findings to relevant stakeholders to drive well informed decision-making
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for system enhancement and innovation
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and conduct training sessions for staff on security procedures and system utilization
  • Maintain accurate documentation of security system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
  • Assist in the budgeting and resource planning for security system upgrades, maintenance, and expansion

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skill set with the ability to dissect complex problems, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions
  • In-depth knowledge of Network Video Recorder (NVR) systems and settings, with a preference for experience with 3xlogic NVR
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks while ensuring attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Loss Prevention, security systems management, or a related field, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of security best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments and external partners
  • Technical proficiency in computer systems, software applications, and networking principles related to security systems
  • Familiarity with machine learning-enabled cameras and their remote maintenance is a plus
  • Relevant certifications in security systems management or loss prevention are advantageous
  • Experience with video analytics and AI-powered security technologies
  • Familiarity with access control systems and intrusion detection systems
  • Strong project management skills to coordinate security equipment installations and upgrades

Ability to adapt to evolving security threats and recommend proactive measures
