Overview

As the IT Team Leader for FLNA Transportation, the selected candidate will lead the development and sustainment of critical IT systems, with a primary focus on new development initiatives. The role involves a combination of visionary leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on management. While day-to-day fire-fighting and system uptime are primarily maintained by a dedicated 3rd party team


Responsibilities

Leadership and Vision:

  • Take up the leadership of an existing 1 to 2-year IT/Business vision.
  • Collaborate with Fleet Transportation Business teams to generate a 2 to 3-year roadmap for system development.
  • Lead the team in scaling up to deliver the upcoming year's agenda.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Partner directly with Fleet Transportation Business teams to understand their requirements and align IT initiatives with business goals.
  • Foster collaboration and communication between IT teams, business stakeholders, and 3rd party vendors.

Team Management:

  • Manage a team responsible for the development and maintenance of key IT systems.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, 3rd party vendors, and global partners to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.

System Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the following key IT systems:
  • Dispatch Planning System (DPS) - FLNA Traffic Centers Dispatch Planning.
  • Driver Payroll Management (DPM) - FLNA Traffic Centers Payroll.
  • Electronic Log of Driver Activities (ELD) - FLNA New Driver Activity Platform.

Development and Maintenance:

  • Drive the development of new features and functionalities within the systems, with a focus on innovation and efficiency.
  • Manage the resolution of day-to-day live IT issues, ensuring minimal disruptions to operations, with primary reliance on the 3rd party team for routine support and system maintenance.

Vendor and Global Partner Management:

  • Collaborate with 3rd party vendors and global partners to ensure the effective execution of system operations.
  • Evaluate and select vendors as needed for specific projects.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $98,700 - $165,150 based on a full-time schedule.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in leading IT teams, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
  • Strong understanding of dispatch planning, payroll management, and driver activity platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage relationships with 3rd party vendors.
  • Experience in scaling up teams and managing projects from vision to implementation.
