Overview

As a Category & Shopper Insights Analyst, you will play a crucial role in helping the company understand market trends, shopper behavior, and competitive landscapes. You will help to unlock incremental growth for by supporting the critical workstreams of the Category Strategy & Shopper Insights agendas. Specifically, you will analyse data, build internal playbooks, support the delivery of research projects and provide valuable insights that contribute to informed decision-making and strategic planning.


Responsibilities

  1. Data Analysis:
  • Utilise various data sources, including sales data and market research to analyse trends.
  • Identify patterns, correlations and anomalies in data sets to derive meaningful insights.
  1. Category Strategy:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement the ‘Category Vision’.
  • Making recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
  1. Shopper Insights:
  • Support the delivery of the research agenda e.g. ‘PTP’ and ‘Purchase Decision Hierarchy’.
  • Summarise and embed the insights within the ‘Shopper Value Offer’ modules.
  1. Competitive Analysis:
  • Monitor competitors' activities and analyse their impact on the market.
  • Identify opportunities and threats and provide recommendations.
  1. Report Generation:
  • Prepare the ‘Channel Passport’ reports and ‘Shopper Narrative’ presentations.
  • Ensure that reports are accurate, concise and tailored to different audiences.
  1. Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Marketing and Sales to integrate insights into business strategies.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and agencies to gather additional market intelligence.
  1. Knowledge Management:
  • Update content to the ‘DX Hub’ and ‘Ask Ada’ platforms.
  • Manage the deliver of the monthly ‘DX Newsletter’.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, market research or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Category Management principles and Shopper Insights.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Proficiency in using data visualisation tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of the retail industry and consumer goods market is advantageous.
