NVIDIA’s Quantum Computing Architecture and Algorithms team is looking for Algorithm Engineers to work closely with leaders in the Quantum Computing industry developing innovative applications that use the NVIDIA platform. NVIDIA Quantum Algorithm Engineers are essential in the development of quantum-classical application codes that build upon world-class NVIDIA multi-GPU architectures. We are seeking experts in the design and development of quantum algorithms for chemistry, machine learning, high-energy physics and related areas with a desire to enable researchers across a range of domains.

Of specific importance is the ability to seamlessly integrate novel algorithms and concepts from quantum computing with standard tools and techniques from conventional high-performance computing. Successful applicants will lead projects with industry partners and demonstrate the utility of the NVIDIA platform for performant research and development activities in quantum computing. If you want to help push the boundaries of quantum computing simulation and hybrid classical-quantum computing, we want to hear from you!

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead and develop algorithmic collaborations with key leaders, startups and influential researchers in quantum computing.

  • Discover high impact problems NVIDIA can uniquely solve that create new market paradigms.

  • Drive early adoption of new products, and collect feedback and requirements.

  • Speak at relevant scientific, technical and industry conferences.

What We Need To See:

  • Degree in Physics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, or related engineering field (Ph.D. or Masters preferred)

  • Extensive background in Quantum Information Science with expertise in one of the following: quantum chemistry, quantum machine learning, error correction or similar domain.

  • 3+ years experience in the Quantum Computing.

  • World-class communication skills with a demonstrated ability to articulate a value proposition to technical and non-technical audiences

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd:

  • Experience with GPU computing.

  • Experience contributing to open-source software.

  • Hands-on experience in scientific computing, high-performance computing, applied machine learning, or deep learning.

  • Background in software development. Bonus points for scientific software development experience.

NVIDIA's invention of the GPU revolutionized parallel computing. Our GPUs are being used in many of the largest high-performance computing projects around the world, solving real world problems, including advancing the state of Quantum Information Science. NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of high technology's most desirable employers. We have some of the most forward-thinking and experienced people in the world working for us. Our goal is to craft an environment where we can do our life's best work. If you're creative, autonomous, and highly motivated, we want to hear from you!

The base salary range is 144,000 USD - 270,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.

NVIDIA is committed to fostering a diverse work environment and proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
