Founded in 1893, Montana Western is an institution committed to teaching, learning, and student success.

Academic advisors are here to help students succeed in their academic pursuits. Advisors provide guidance and assistance to students in understanding university policy and procedures, forming academic and career goals providing mentorship in developing decision-making skills, and providing encouragement in making the most of each student's academic life at Montana Western.
Montana Western Career Services is a comprehensive resource for students as they transition from college to careers. Through Montana Western's experiential learning, students emerge from campus better prepared to enter the workforce. Confidential counseling is available free to all students registered for a minimum of seven credits in a semester. Services provided for students include counseling for individuals, couples, families, group sessions, and community referrals.
Montana Western works hard to accommodate all physical, psychological, and learning disabilities. No student should be excluded from participation in classes or extracurricular programs because of a disability.
As a Montana Western student, you have access to one-on-one counseling sessions, campus based workshops, and education resources on managing your finances. These services' effort is to help you better manage your finances and ultimately graduate with as little debt as possible.
Students are required to carry either their health insurance or enroll in the campus plan. Primary medical care for students is available through the Community Health Clinic, just off-campus. We have a campus wellness office that sponsors health fairs and yoga classes, dance, and cardiovascular training.
The Library provides research tools and research assistance to support coursework. Comfortable spaces are available for quiet individual study and dynamic group work.
Information Technology Services serves the University of Montana Western by providing centralized technology and enterprise services to support the University's mission.
