The Office of Student Activities promotes and enhances the quality of student engagement on the IU Northwest campus. The office serves as the central university resource for Student Clubs and Organizations, Intramurals, Savannah Fitness Center, and Student Activities-sponsored Events.
Additional services include the issuance of student ID cards and the distribution of recreational equipment and games. Photo ID cards are obtained at the Security Booth outside the Savannah Center gym. The Student Activities Office provides a supportive environment that encourages student engagement in programs and opportunities to lead, learn, serve, and inspire.

IU Northwest'sNorthwest's Strategic Priorities begin with a commitment to excellence in academics measured in part by assessing the student learning outcomes the campus has identified. These outcomes require recurring data-driven decision making that provides one of the stages in our assessment loop. Student learning outcome assessment is a priority at IU Northwest. A centralized assessment structure will provide a consistent and in-depth assessment and consistent policies and practices related to assessment.
The academic units at IU Northwest have developed and implemented various assessments of student learning outcomes. The plans, as well as the data collected by those units, is available here. The assessment plan and data developed for our new General Education Learning Goals and relevant institutional plans, policies, and data are available.
ROTC is the most common way for a college student to receive a commission into the Army's officer corps. A person cannot just enlist to become an officer. While all individuals who wish to serve their country must meet the necessary educational and physical requirements, officers must also possess a baccalaureate degree and some preparatory instruction in small unit leadership, planning, and management. College students enrolled in these Military Science courses assume Cadet's rank and are trained in the fundamentals of military leadership.
