We provide services and resources to enhance learning inside and outside of the classroom. Your academic and personal success — however you define it — is important. We want you to get the most out of your experience at Brockport. We know your decision to enroll in an undergraduate or graduate degree program is a significant investment in your future. Brockport has one of the lowest tuition rates in the nation. We have compiled financial resources for additional assistance.

More than 2,300 students find all types of jobs each year, and they collectively earn more than $2.9 million. Both Work-Study and paid positions are available for our students. Work-Study money is available to those who complete the FAFSA application and qualify.

Brockport offers a financial literacy program, EllsWORTH, for all students. The program includes workshops, individual financial counseling sessions, college-wide events, online tutorials, and more. Our program was awarded the Financial Aid Leadership Award by the National Student Loan Program.

We help students gain the most from their college experience. Choose from 49 undergraduate majors, 100+ clubs and organizations, 23 intercollegiate athletic teams, and 100+ study abroad programs. Our campus environment provides a broad range of options including leadership growth, social activities, and community involvement. Our innovative graduate programs can help advance your career or go on to post-graduate study. Choose from 50+ masters programs, teacher certifications, and advanced certificates. Most of our programs are offered online. However, in-classroom and hybrid formats are offered. Learning extends beyond the classroom. We encourage students to take advantage of services and engage in our community through activities. Time spent outside the classroom is an important part of college life. It's an opportunity to socialize, develop new interests, cultivate leadership, and further explore existing interests. We have 100+ clubs and organizations that fit almost any interest including Brockport Student Government, The Stylus, and 89.1 The Point. Students can even start a club or organization.

The Student Health Center is part of the Hazen Center for Integrated Care, which provides a holistic approach to student health and wellness. The Counseling Center, Student Health Center, and Prevention and Outreach Services support students’ mind, body, and spirit throughout their Brockport experience.

In 1835 village leaders partnered with a Baptist group to build an institution of higher learning. This "academy," or "collegiate institute," was a common institution at the time. Public schooling ended with the 8th grade, and there were no high schools. Colleges were very few in number, and generally did not admit women or minorities.

Academies were a transitional form, that included elements of the modern high school, prep school, and college, but were a unique form all their own. Brockport's academy flourished academically, but like many such institutions often struggled financially.

In August 2005, John R. Halstead, PhD, became Brockport's sixth president. Beginning early in his tenure, he developed relationships with numerous government, corporate, and community leaders to increase Brockport's visibility in the region, and formed partnerships to further promote student success. President Halstead oversaw exciting new construction projects, including the townhome complex for upperclassmen the state-of-the-art Special Events Recreation Center (the SERC), which opened in fall 2012 and, the Liberal Arts Building, which opened in fall 2014.

In July 2015, Heidi R. Macpherson, PhD, began her tenure as the seventh president of the College. She is Brockport's first female president. President Macpherson led the effort in developing "Building a Better Brockport: The College's Strategic Plan, 2017-2022".
