Most college-bound students say they plan to study abroad but only a tiny percent go. We remove common barriers to studying abroad or in another area of the United States.

Our cross-cultural Global Opportunities (GO) study abroad program will expose you to different cultures while teaching you valuable things about yourself.

You'll try foods you've never had before. You may learn a different language, meet your new best friend or look at American culture from a new perspective. Our study abroad opportunities are unique and the value to your future is unquestionable. Fulfill the GO requirement by participating in a traditional semester-long study abroad program or experiencing a shorter study away trip that puts you in an unfamiliar cultural context.

It's central to Susquehanna and central to you. Our innovative Central Curriculum is at the heart of a Susquehanna education.

Far more than general education requirements, the courses in the Central Curriculum invite you to open your mind and think differently about yourself and the world around you.

Our curriculum, including our award-winning GO program, will help you be more aware of the creative, natural, societal and cultural forces that shape the world around you. And arm you with critical skills that will make you a valuable employee in today's marketplace.

Think of the Center for Academic Achievement as an educational gym. We'll help you build on your academic strengths and work on eliminating your weakness so you can be a stronger student. Our team of supportive professional and peer tutors will help you gain confidence—and skills. Whether you need help with a particular subject, or want to improve your study habits, we're here to help you succeed.

Peer educators are welcome—-and needed—at Susquehanna University. Highly qualified students in a variety of subject areas, including math, writing and foreign languages, help their fellow students gain skills and confidence by tutoring at the Center for Academic Achievement.

Intensely curious, active learners will excel in our Honors Program, a challenging, individualized program for academically talented students.

About 10 percent of students from a variety of majors are invited to join the Honors Program. Honors students typically embrace the total Susquehanna experience, contributing in leadership, performance, musical and athletics.

You'll follow a sequence of special courses and projects-complemented by discussion groups, lectures, off-campus visits and residential programs—throughout your four years at Susquehanna. You'll have the chance join faculty at special events and conferences sponsored by the National Collegiate Honors Council.

First-year Honors students have the opportunity to elect to live together in a living-learning community designed specifically for them within a first-year residence hall.

We offer preferential housing in a traditional residence hall to students who are admitted into and choose to join the Honors program and who want be housed with other Honors students because of common interests and study habits. In that space, you'll participate in a series of events-including films, speakers and panels—aimed at fostering intellectual curiosity, discussions and chances to learn outside the classroom.

With input from Honors instructors and the Honors council (made up of Honors students who represent the community), we'll select the topics and events throughout the academic year. You have the option to select Honors housing on the Housing Placement Form provided after you make your enrollment deposit.

Financing a college education is a major investment for your family. We offer a comprehensive merit scholarship and need-based financial aid program to help your family afford Susquehanna. All applicants are automatically considered for academic merit scholarships by the Admission Committee. Whether you're stressed about a test, struggling to get out of bed or dealing with anxiety attacks, we're here for you.
