As you will all be aware, the step of establishing a school that represents three communities in the quarrying area has been a journey for us all. As Henry Ford once said at the start of a new business partnership management:'Coming together is a beginning keeping together is progress working together is a success.
This year, during the preparatory year, we have collaborated extremely successfully as teachers, support staff, and pupils at the three schools. We have a team who collaborate to do the very best to aim for every summit that they will face. Summit of excellence concerning the standards that the children will attain, the summit of excellence in terms of the education that the children will receive, and summit of excellence in terms of the kind of children that we will nurture - children who will recognize a sense of self-worth and in everybody around them.
We have a team who work for a purpose, to collaborate to create a school where children walk through its doors as happy, secure, and motivated. At the root of everything that we do, it is imperative to ensure that the child's voice and well-being are at their core. Through collaboration, we trust that your child's time with us will be socially and educationally busy, engaging, and memorable. Hopefully, this handbook will assist you to familiar with the school and how you can bolster our work with your child.
Ysgol Bro Llifon serves the villages of Y Groeslon, Carmel and Fron. Ysgol Bro Llifon is situated in the village of Groeslon, around five miles from Caernarfon. The school will open in September: there will be 6 classes with a recess for a library and a place for activities to be held outside the class. There is a kitchen, two group rooms (one for the Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2), a hall of substantial size with changing rooms for the boys and girls, a car park, and a sports court. A school garden has been earmarked, a hard surface play area for the Foundation Phase, and a yard and a large playground for the rest of the school.
