Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University has undertaken to search and question in fields of science, art, and sports, to be participant and dynamic, to protect and own their cultural values, to educate individuals, who think universally, to serve humanity by providing the developments of science and technology, and to contribute to the country and the region wealth as a duty.
Nigde Omer Halisdemir University is an active member of the Life Long Learning Program(LLP). Following its mission of becoming an international university, Nigde Omer Halisdemir University has entered into collaboration agreements with foreign institutions to promote teaching and research programs. Believing that such agreements reaffirm the enormous importance of international education and maintain a global perspective, the University has developed 52 collaborative agreements with many countries in Europe. Nigde Omer Halisdemir University was one of the Turkish universities awarded by EUC (Erasmus University Charter) and took its place in the SOCRATES/ERASMUS program in 2005. The University received and sent its first students and teaching staff in 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 academic years. It has developed more than a hundred bilateral agreements with European universities within the scope of the Erasmus Program since 2005.
Nigde Omer Halisdemir University will carry out taking part in Life Long Learning - LLP and Youth Programs between 2008-2013 academic years through upholding its commitment to coordinate and implement European Union's new "Life Long Learning (LLP)" and "Youth" Programs. That is why the International Relations Office plays a vital role in the strategic development of Nigde Omer Halisdemir University. As an international activity center at Nigde Omer Halisdemir University, the Office focuses on quality rather than quantity.
Nigde Omer Halisdemir University, International Relations Office, coordinates and supports international cooperation activities by encouraging educational and scientific achievement, social and cultural enrichment. The Office is responsible for the coordination of the mobility process within the scope of the Erasmus Program. It takes care of all of the administrative and registration procedures regarding preparing and supporting incoming and outgoing students and teaching staff. It offers orientation programs before the beginning of academic programs. The full integration and participation of incoming students are ensured in all social, cultural, and sports activities of the University and activities specially organized.
